Arena Entertainment
Filling two arenas with a programme of all-day entertainment is no mean feat for the Country Fayre team! Over the two decades that the fayre has been staged, we've had performers as diverse as equestrian acts featuring both horses big and small, a sheep show, elite gymnasts, comedy trampolinists and a Chinese dragon! This is alongside the more traditional forms of entertainment that you'd expect to see at a country fayre, such as Morris Dancers, falconry displays and dog and duck shows.
One of the great things about the Country Fayre being a community event is that we love to give the community a chance to showcase their talents. That's why our arena entertainment programme will always include local groups alongside more seasoned performers. Over the years, we've been proud to host displays by New Romney Sea Cadets Band, Emma-Lou's Dance Troupe and our home-grown Romney Marsh Morris to name but a few. One thing is certain: many of those who have performed at the Country Fayre have always commented on how welcome they are made to feel, on the wonderful atmosphere and want to return year after year.
Please note, that due to the size of our arenas and fact we don't have metal crash barriers, we are unable to accommodate motor vehicles, motor cycle display teams or dangerous stunt acts, involving fire, etc.
